What is Decoden?

Creams & Charms

We have over 40 colours of decoden cream and 40 drips to choose from and hundreds and hundreds of charms, gems, sprinkles and glitters.

We will be adding new translucent, metallic and pearlescent creams soon and will have pencil cases and small jewel boxes to decorate too.

Naturally we will add more and more charms with each workshop!

 

 

 

Monthly public workshop

We run our public workshop on the first Saturday of every month at

St. Nicholaas Lyceum.

The workshop is a fully taught instructor lead session.
In the first hour you will be taught how to create a paper design and then how to use the creams and practise piping.
The remaining 90 minutes is for you to create your artwork.

The workshop usually lasts about 2.5 hours.

During the workshop we will play a K-pop and J-pop soundtrack.
We also provide some snack and drinks in case you get hungry or thirsty.

We currently offer these items for decorating

1. One Jumbo claw hairclip and two small hairclips. €35
You will get to choose 4 large Charms , 4 medium charms and 8 small charms and 3 creams.

2. Mirror. €40
You will get to choose 4 large Charms, 4 medium charms and 8 small charms and 3 creams.

3. 10x15cm Photoframe. €40
You will get to choose 4 large Charms, 4 medium charms and 8 small charms and 3 creams.

4. Phone case*. €35
You will get to choose 4 large Charms, 4 medium charms and 8 small charms and 3 creams.

*You need to bring your own harrd polycarbonate phone case to decorate. Soft silicone cases are not recommended as the cream glue may not stick properly.

5. Group booking for 8 people. €240
A discounted group booking ticket for a group of 8 people.
You can select any item to decorate and have 4 large Charms, 4 medium charms and 8 small charms and 3 creams.

Workshops can be conducted in English or Dutch.

 

Birthday parties and private workshops

We are available for private workshops, birthday parties, team building and corporate entertainment events.

For small groups of 8 people or less we would recommend joining one of our monthly public workshops above.

If your group is larger than 10 people than a private workshop would be more flexible.
We usually run our workshops at a rented classroom in St. Nicolaas Lyceum on Saturday.

We provide all crafting materials and equipment, including aprons and gloves.

Private workshops are for a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 20 people per session.
If you require a larger capacity we can source a larger venue.

Private workshop prices including venue hire at St. Nicolaas Lyceum.
1-10 people : €350 (€35/person)
11-15 people : €450 (€30/person)
16-20 people : €550 (€27.50/person)

If you want to arrange your own location we can travel to your venue.

Private workshop prices where client provides the venue.
1-10 people : €300 (€30/person)
11-15 people : €420 (€28/person)
16-20 people : €520 (€26/person)

(There may be additional travel charges if your venue is outside of the Amsterdam ring road area. (A10, A1, A9, A5).

The venue will need to be large enough for all participants to be seated at a table to work
and we also need 3 additional tables to set up the charms, creams and tools.

Commissions

We are happy to accept commissions for custom made pieces.
If you want an unique phone case, art piece or gift created just email us.

You can choose the object, cream colours, charms and style of decoration.

We will send you a quote and an initial layout drawing before beginning the work.

About Us.

Dream Decoden was setup by Camryn and Remy with help from their father Sam.


Camryn and Remy are primary school children that fell in love with decoden but found that they could not find any places in the Netherlands to do it!
So they set up their own workshop to share their favourite hobby with everyone.

We are the first and only decoden workshop provider in the whole of the Netherlands!

 

Sam is a stay at home father, a cooking workshop teacher, an origami teacher, paper florist and the author of'The Book of Mindful Origami' and 'The Magic of Mindful Origami'.
